Royal Commission in the Protection and Detention of Children in the Northern Territory

The Royal Commission and Board of Inquiry into the Protection and Detention of Children in the Northern Territory (NTRC) was established on 1 August 2016 to enable the swift inquiry into the treatment of children detained in detention facilities and child protection in the Northern Territory.

It was the job of the Royal Commission to uncover where the systems had failed and make recommendations on how to improve laws, policies, and practices in the Northern Territory to provide a safer future for our children.

Vital Content worked under Sydney-based agency Laundry Lane to document the work of the NTRC for its entire duration through photo, video, and design. Over 60 individual pieces of video and animation content were produced to educate and share this important work.
